I got the collector's edition of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2 : Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon today, it came with a plush Radou. Teddy is from the "Social-Link Expansion Kit" for Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4. I wish I had brought my camera today, instead of having to settle for the 0.3 megapixel junk built into my phone--albeit the quality of this photo is oddly suiting.
What light through yonder window breaks? Crap! It's the sun; I better go to sleep.
Normally I hate manipulated photos. Heck, I don't even like B&W because it seems unnatural. I like my photographs to be as close a representation of reality as possible, even if that realism is unflattering to the subject.
But then I see something like these composed photos, and I'm totally on board with the unreality.
Too bad I have a glass door on my shower, and don't need a shower curtain.
Forgot to post at the time, but my reflashed BIOS chip showed up today in the early morning, so I went home on my 10 AM break, and put it in my computer. After restoring all the basic settings, it booted fine. Glad to have the old horse back.
Just got a call from the motherboard manufacturer; they received the chip I sent in to be reflashed. So it only took Friday to Tuesday to get there. That means I may have my computer running again by the weekend.
During the conversation I was asked what processors I am running. I informed him they were Quad Cores. Which got an, "oh, we've discovered a bug which prevents the 4.0 BIOS from POSTing on Barcelona, Quad Core chips." Nice. You'd think that would be something they'd test before releasing an update which will break 90% of the computers its installed on. The ramifications are: I'm still perfect, and didn't screw up; they did. They should thank me for being the one willing to break his machine and take one for the team.
This is the first time this has ever happened to me. I updated the BIOS and the computer wouldn't reboot. Called support, they said to pull the chip, and send it to them, they'd reflash it, and send it back. Tyan, the manufacturer, is in California. I'm probably looking at a week and a half of downtime.
Posting this from my MacBook now. Well, this machine is quieter than my desktop.
I can't stop listening to Freur's Doot-Doot album. I must have been vaguely aware of the title track back when it was a single. But being an Underworld (the band) fan, I finally tracked down some good MP3s of their first work. It is as incredible as everything which followed.
